Vintage fancy link sterling silver long guard chain. An alternating design of flat oval links and smaller rounded links are soldered together to form the pattern. The larger, flat oval links are engraved with a beaded design. Both ends of this chain connect to an oversized silver spring bolt style clasp. The chain doesn't open but is simply worn looped around the neck with the spring bolt clasp at the front from which to hang charms, a pendant or a locket. Circa 1900s, likely French in origin.

No markings, tested as sterling silver.

Measures 140 cm / 55 inches long and is approx 3.55 mm wide.
