Vintage ruby and diamond bypass ring dating to the mid 20th century. Set in the centre of this ring is square cut ruby in a pleasing deep red colour. Flanking the ruby are diamonds, each illusion set in a buttercup style setting. The three gemstones are set at an angle, sloping up the finger, with a leaf design on either side. The white gold topped leaf design is done in a wonderful faceted bead design and lined with milgrain beading along the edges. Circa 1960s, British in origin.

Ruby: deep red colour, square step cut. Measures approx 3.9 mm and calculated in setting as 0.33 carats.

Diamonds: 2, round brilliant, approx 0.15 carats total weight, J colour, VS clarity.about 0.01 carat each.

Hallmarked and tested as 18 carat yellow gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1963.

Size: UK - L; US - 5.8; EU - 16.3. This ring can be sized down to J / 4.8 and up several sizes. Sizing is available for an additional fee.

Measures about 9.4 mm wide and rises 5 mm tall off the finger.
