Art Deco ruby & diamond engagement ring. A beautiful square cut ruby of a incredibly deep red colour is set in a milgrain lined bezel setting. A halo of single / eight cut diamonds frames the ruby. Each of the diamonds is bead set and the edges between the diamonds form a gentle scalloped edge. The gemstones are set into a platinum top and the top of the shoulders are platinum. A delicate ridged design separates the platinum top from the 18 carat yellow gold band. This ring dates to about the 1920s and is British in origin.

Ruby: bright, deep red in colour and square in shape. Approx 3.15 mm square and calculated in setting as 0.28 carats.

Diamonds: 8, single cut, approx 0.12 carats total weight.

Hallmarked as 18ct Pt. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
