A stunningly elegant baguette cut diamond wedding ring. This ring is sleek and simple, shinning perfection, one of those I wish fit me! Set in the centre are three round single cut diamonds, each set in four tiny claws. Flanking this trio of diamond are straight cut baguettes. The combination of round and baguette cut diamonds always gets me (and it's what my own engagement ring is!). At the end of the baguette diamonds is a triangle design leading to a knife edge shank.
The side view of this ring is so lovely. It slopes up and flares back out right by the triangle top, creating a little platform for the diamonds. While often considered art deco in style, rings with baguette and round cut diamonds like this often date to the mid 1930s - 1950s making them firmly mid 20th century. We'd date this ring to then, a time when engagement rings started to become a bit higher set allowing a wedding band to sit more flush in keeping with the new fashion of the time period.
In excellent condition.
