Vintage opal and diamond ring set in yellow gold and platinum. This stunning ring features a round cabochon cut opal framed by a halo of 12 single cut / eight cut bead set diamonds. The opal shows mostly bluish-green play of colour with yellowish-orange and orange in some lights. The diamonds are bead set ith small shared prongs between them. The outer edge is smooth, dipping between each diamond to create a scalloped edge. This ring dates to the Art Deco era, 1920s - 1930s and is by the jeweller H. Samuel, a British jewellery company started in the 1820s.
Opal: approx 5.6 mm by 4.1 mm and shows mostly bluish-green play of colour with yellowish-orange in some lights.
Diamonds: 12, single cut diamonds, approx 0.30 carats total weight, I / K colour, SI clarity.
Hallmarked 18ct Plat. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - S 1/4; US - 9 1/3; EU - 19 1/4. This ring is not recommended for sizing larger. It can be sized down to J / 4.8. Sizing is available for an additional fee.
Measures 10.7 mm and rises 5.55 mm high off the finger.
