Vintage opal and diamond ring dating to the Art Deco era. A beautiful cabochon cut opal is bezel set in platinum. Around the edges are 10 eight cut diamonds and the top edge dips gently between them creating a scalloped edge design. The bezel edge of the opal and around the edges of the diamonds are lining in the most delicate and sparkly milgrain. The gemstones are set in a platinum top on a narrow 18 carat yellow gold band which widens at the palm side. Circa 1915s - 1930s, British in origin.

Opal: measures approx 4.5 mm by 3.7 mm.

Diamonds: 10, eight / single cut and calculated in setting as 0.15 carats total.

Marked 18ct Plat. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
