Incredible synthetic ruby ring dating to the early 20th century. This ring is set with the brightest, most wonderful lab created round cut ruby. The ruby is held with four wider ribbon claws to the north, south, west and east. Each of these are set with a diamond. Between these is a lovely scalloped edged filigree which is designed with a beaded pattern to give the impression of holding additional diamonds. The top of this ring is white with a lattice work of gold supporting it and wider flared gold shoulders leading to knife edge shoulders. The band is D shape in profile. This ring is wide and low to the finger. Circa 1920s - 1940s, likely continental European in origin.
