Decorative vintage French fancy link chain crafted in 18 carat yellow gold. This chain features elongated oval shaped links connected with smaller round open links. Each of the oval is made of flattened wire and has a twisted wire the length of it in the middle. The twisted wire also flat like a ribbon and has a beaded design on both edges. These little beads dance in the light as the chain rolls and moves. This is a beautiful style, detailed enough to wear on it's own but which would also look wonderful paired with a pendant. Dates to the early 20th century, French in origin.

Hallmarked with an eagle's head, the French hallmark for 18 carat gold, on a link near the end clasp. Tested as 18 carat throughout.

Measures 45.5 cm / 18 inches long and is 2.9 mm at widest point.

Weighs 4.05 grams.
