Vintage emerald cut diamond engagement ring. A single beautiful emerald cut diamond is housed in a white mounting. Four claws, one at each corner, secure the diamond with fluted rounded shoulders gleaming from either side. This ring is classic mid 20th century, when emerald cut diamonds first really came into fashion. The higher setting allows another ring or band to nest up to this engagement ring and the understated band keeps all the focus on the diamond. Circa 1940s - 1950s, North American in origin.
We've shown this engagement ring with a baguette band which we think goes well together. The two rings are being sold separately.
