A sweet amethyst Art Deco engagement ring.  A large bright purple oval cut amethyst is set between two small accent diamonds, one on each shoulder.  The colour of the amethyst is wonderful!  I'm a huge purple fan and the deep royal purple of amethyst has always appealled to me. This ring is made of 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set in the shoulders surrounded in a small frame of white gold.  Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.

Amethyst: bright purple, oval cut, approx 0.85 carats, 8.5 mm by 6 mm.

Diamonds: 2, single cut, approx 0.01 carat total weight.

Hallmarks are worn, tested as 18 carat gold.

Size: UK - K 1/4; US - 5 1/2; EU - 50 1/2.  This ring can be sized down to J / 4.75 or made several sizes larger.  Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 8.9 mm wide on the finger and rises 3.43 mm tall.

Weighs 2.4 grams.
