Vintage 9 carat gold articulated drop earrings. What a stunning pair of earrings this is! Gold hooks lead to a small dyed blue agate bead from which a chain with a large drop on the end swings freely. The drop at the bottom is pear shaped, wide and perfectly tapered. In the centre of this, wrapping around the agate, is a band of hammered gold. The textured gold on the mottled blue background provide such lovely contrast. Circa early 1930s - late 1940s, British in origin.

In very good condition. These earrings come in the box I bought them in. I doubt the box is original to the earrings, but the earrings suit it very well and clearly have been paired together for a while. The box shows age related wear and marks.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.
