Vintage 9 carat gold bangle bracelet. What a wonderful piece this is! It's wide on the wrist and the softly curved interior makes it super comfortable to wear. The top section of this piece is engraved with a fine scroll design which is shiny on an etched ridged background. The back side of this bangle is shiny and unadorned. It fastens with a lovely, audible click letting you know it's secure, and has a safety chain for extra security. Circa 1960s, British in origin.
In excellent condition. The engraving is crisp and the hinge is tight, fastening with a loud click.
Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1964. The interior has a maker's mark for Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd, a Birmingham based jeweller in business from the late 1890s until the late 1990s.
Measures approx 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches interior circumference. Model's wrist measures approx 16 cm / 6.25 inches using a flexible tape measure. Bangle is about 15.8 mm / 0.62 inches wide.
