Vintage 9 carat yellow gold Cleopatra style necklace. This necklace is designed as graduated bar shaped links forming a fringe style. Near the back the bars are set at angles, each flowing to the next. The bar at the centre is straight. The tongue in groove style clasp is hidden within the design. Circa 1960s, British in origin.

The attached safety chain appears to be a later addition. It could easily be removed if desired.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1966.

Measures approx 45 cm / 17.7 inches long and is 5.65 mm wide at clasp, 12.25 mm wide at front centre.

Weighs 16.9 grams.
