Vintage blue zircon solitaire engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. A vivid round shaped blue zircon is set in a simple eight claw white gold setting. The zircon is a beautiful teal blue colour. It's shown at it's very best in a simple rex or crown design mounting with sloping, tapered shoulders. The band widens into a D shape profile at the back of the band. Circa mid 20th century.

Blue zircon: measures approx 7.35 mm and calculated in setting as 2 carats.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in London 1954.
