Antique Victorian photograph locket crafted in sterling silver. A large oval shaped locket is engraved with rose blossoms to the centre which are highlighted in rose and green gold. To the edges is a raised design of little flourishes or leafs. The back is unadorned. Roses are one of the most enduring themes we see in jewellery, one of love, which is still understood today. Circa 1880s - 1890s, British in origin.

In good condition, closing with a soft click. To the interior is one frame and one photo covering. The other side is kinda cool, showing you how the pieces of antique lockets were originally put together with panels over the puffed sections.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver with 9 carat rose and green gold accents.

Measures approx 42.3 mm / 1.70 inches tall not including the bail by 32.2 mm / 1.25 inches wide by 8.8 mm deep.

Locket weighs 17.4 grams.
