Antique Victorian 18 carat gold and diamond buckle ring. This ring is crafted as a buckle with diamond adornment set into the top. An old mine cut diamond is the largest with four small diamonds set into the frame and three set into the loop. The back of this ring is plain and unadorned while the top is rather striking and unusual. Buckles in Victorian times were meant to express a binding love between the giver and receiver. Fully hallmarked, dating to the 1890s..

Diamonds: 8 total. Old mine cut diamond is approx 0.03 carats. 7 additional diamonds are roughly cut and just under 1 mm.

Hallmarked as 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, dated for 1897.

Size: UK - N 1/2; US - 7; EU - 17 1/4. Sizes taken from the leading edge. Limited resizing may be possible without disrupting the hallmarks, please enquire.

Measures approx 7.65 mm wide at the buckle tapering to approx 3.35 mm wide at the back centre.
