Antique carnelian drop pendant, perfect for the Autumn weather! A lovely orange cabochon cut carnelian is bezel set at the top. An articulated teardrop shape cabochon is capped in gold with a ridged design on the cap. This is a great pendant with fabulous colour and movement.

In good condition. This piece may have started it's life as another item, such as an earring. A wonderful pendant, ready to wear and enjoy!

Clasp on the chain is marked with an old 9c stamp. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout, the gold is warm, between modern yellow and rose in colour.

Drop measures approx 47 mm / 1.85 inches in total length including the bail by 10 mm / 0.40 inches at widest point. Chain measures approx 42 cm / 16.5 inches in length, it's likely not original to the pendant but it's how we bought it and we think they look good together.
