Antique Victorian expandable gold bracelet. This bracelet is crafted in yellow gold with rose gold accents as a series of S shaped links which are riveted to S shaped links facing the other way on the inside. When pulled gently the links expand displaying a pretty design. The top links are decorated with little shiny balls which the links which peep through make a scroll design, coming to elegant crests in negative space. Because it expands this bracelet fits tightly to the wrist. Circa 1880s, British in origin.

In good condition. Care must be taken when expanding this approx 130 year old bracelet. Some of the rivets have been tightened and reinforced by loving previous owners to keep this bracelet in good working order. There are some slight dents to the balls on the outside links and scratches to the links when viewed from inside (against the wrist), but they don't take away from the charm of this Victorian bracelet.

Marked 9ct for 9 carat gold and tested as such.

Measures approx 3.4 cm / 1.33 inches diameter when closed and expands to approx 6.4 cm / 2.5 inches diameter. This approx 20 cm / 7.8 inches circumference. Shown on an 16.2 cm / 6.25 inch wrist.
