Antique wide 22ct gold ring dating to the late 19th century. Old and glorious gold! 22 carat gold is a classic, used for wedding rings during the Victorian era through to WWII. This ladies wedding band is on the wide side at 6 mm and is lightly domed in profile with a flat interior. Inside are very clear hallmarks for London 1895 making this piece of history nearly 130 years old.
Hallmarked for 22 carat gold, assayed in London, 1895. Like most antique British gold, this ring has a bit of a rosy tone to is, between rose and yellow gold though closer to modern yellow gold than modern rose gold.
Size: UK - L; US - 5.75; EU - 16,25. Sizes taken from centre. This is a wide ring and, depending on finger shape, will fit differently to a more slender band. ie, on my fingers, it fits like a J.5 - K / 5 - 5.25 / 15,6 - 15,9. This ring can be resized down or can be adjusted up slightly. Resizing available for an additional fee.
