Art deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring. A beautifully blue square cut sapphire is bezel set between old European cut diamonds. This is a wonderful classic early 20th design with a step cut sapphire flanked by round cut diamonds. The tops of the settings are crimped and the D shaped profile band smooth and shiny. Circa 1920s, likely British in origin.

Sapphire: square shape, step cut, approx 4.25 mm square.

Diamonds: 2, old European cut, approx 2.8 mm each, 0.17 ctw as estimated in setting.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested as 18 carat gold.

Size: UK - N 1/2; US - 7; EU - 17 1/4. This ring can be sized between L / 5.75 and P.5 / 8.

Measures approx 5.05 mm wide and 3.65 mm deep.
