Sapphire and diamond antique five stone ring. Five gemstones, alternating in colour, are bead set into the top of this band. The gemstones graduate across the finger. Vivid blue sapphires contrast with the white diamonds and the yellow gold setting. This antique band is low profile making it wonderfully easy to wear and stack with other bands and rings. This is a fluid looking ring which is low profile and smooth with a nice substantial feel. Circa 1890s, British in origin.
Sapphires: 3, blue in colour, oval cut. Centre 4 mm by 3.4 mm. Sides 3.5 mm by 2.8 mm each. Some facet abrasion in keeping with age and wear.
Diamonds: 2, old mine cut, approx 2.85 mm, 0.10 carats each to total 0.20 carats together, H colour, SI2 clarity.
Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1897.
Size: UK - N; US - 6.75; EU - 17,1. This ring can be sized between M / 6.25 / 16,7 and P / 7.75 / 18. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measure approx 5.6 mm wide by 2.7 mm deep on top. 1.5 mm at back centre.
Weigh 3.9 grams together.
