Vintage sapphire and diamond ring dating to the Art Deco era. The centre is a deep blue rectangular shape, step cut sapphire. Set compass style around the sapphire are four diamonds. This ring forms a kite shape on the finger with frilly edges lined in milgrain beading. Between the diamonds are a beaded design which sparkles nicely, giving the impression of further diamonds. This two-tone ring is sweet and would make a wonderful engagement ring. Circa 1920s, British in origin.
Sapphire: rectangle shape, step cut. Approx 3.8 mm by 3.4 mm.
Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.04 carat total weight.
Hallmarked for 18 carat gold. The gemstones are set into a platinum top.
