Stunning sapphire and diamond drop earrings. These earrings started life as a Victorian bar brooch which was split into two to make more wearable dangle earrings. Each of the gemstones are bezel set into 15 carat rose gold with a platinum top. Lining each gem is fine milgrain beading. A further concentric circle around the sapphire and diamonds makes these earrings beautiful and unique in design. The bar of the brooch was used to make the ear wires so they are perfectly matched in colour. Date to the late Victorian era, modern conversion.

Diamonds: 6 total, old mine cut, approx 0.25 carats total weight, G / H colour, SI clarity.

Sapphires: 2 total, brilliant cornflower blue in colour, approx 3.7 mm each and estimated as 0.6 carats together.

Not hallmarked, tested as 15 carat rosy gold with the top in platinum.

Drop 3 cm / 1.18 inches and measure 8.05 mm wide at the widest point.

Weigh 3 grams.
