A beautiful blue sapphire and diamond vintage engagement ring. A deep blue round shaped sapphire is prong set in the centre of six diamonds. The detail on the face of this ring is stunning! The diamonds are each in large petal shapes which are engraved with a star shaped design and lined in milgrain beading. The sapphire looks brilliant in the middle of this platinum topped ring. This ring dates to around the 1920s and has a bright 18 carat yellow gold band which is topped in platinum near the gemstones to give the impression of this ring being entirely platinum at first glance. British in origin, this ring is marked for the maker, HS which is likely H. Samuel. (Yep, they've been around for ages!!)

Sapphire: deep and bright blue, round cut, approx 3.2 mm wide and estimated in setting as 0.14 carats.

Diamonds: 6, single / eight cut, approx 0.08 carats total weight.

Hallmarks worn but legible as 18ct Plat. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set in platinum and the shoulders topped in platinum.
