
Ruby and diamond navette shape cluster ring dating to the late Victorian era. This dinner ring is long on the finger and set with brilliantly red rubies in a graduated design to the centre. The rubies are in a compass design going north to south and east to west. Twelve old cut diamonds are graduated in size and set into a scalloped edged top. The diamonds are bright red against the white background. The top has a beaded engraved design which is designed to sparkle as it catches the light. This ring dates to the late Victorian era to early Edwardian era, British in origin.
Rubies: 7 total. 2 round x 1.7 mm, 2 round x 2.5 mm, 1 oval 3.2 mm by 2.9 mm. 1 oval 4 mm by 3.4 mm. 1 oval 4.1 mm by 3.5 mm.
Diamonds: 12, old mine and old cushion cut ranging between 1.3 mm to 2 mm and calculated in setting as 0.20 carats total, appear near colour and eye clean at normal viewing distance.
Stamped 18ct & PT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
