Utterly charming sycamore seed necklace crafted in sterling silver. This unique necklace is formed of five large clusters of seed pods with a single cultured baroque pearl to the centre. These seeds are highly detailed with their veined pattern easily visible. Each of these are connected together with a series of oblong and round links, the top chain securing the chain together and the bottom creating a swooping festoon design. This is quite the statement piece, dating to the first half of the 20th century.

In good condition. Some of the links are very slightly out of shape and the centre seed pod has two stems (others have three), nothing untold and does not affect the look or use of this piece.

Stamped 925 on the clasp. There is a small mark on the top right jump ring of each leaf section, we are unable to identify it, it might just be a tooling mark! The entire necklace has a very light 18 carat yellow gold gilt on top of the silver.

Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches in length and the sycamore seed clusters are approx 27.5 mm / 1.07 inches tall.
