Antique 18 carat gold watch chain. This chain has a striking link! Each of the oval sections contains a set of 3 twisted ribbons of gold. The ribbons are beaded on the edges and due to the twisting shape of them the edges catch the light. The larger links are connected together with smaller oval links. At one end of this chain is an oversized bolt clasp and at the other end is a large dog clip. This chain is long enough to wear as a choker length necklace. Circa 1900s, French in origin.

Hallmarked with an eagle's head on the bolt ring, end loop on the dog clip side, and the side of the dog clip. Tested as 18 carat gold throughout.

Measures 41 cm / 16.1 inches long and links are approx 5.45 mm wide.

Weighs 10.45 grams.
