Antique 9 carat gold heart shaped clasp charm. This heart is designed in a lock style shape. The front is intricately engraved with leaves trailing across it. The back has the same hand engraved leaf design. A top loop clicks into place, allowing this heart to be secured to an item. The clasp is tight and holds well. This versatile piece can be worn as a charm, clasp or pendant. Circa 1890 - 1910, British in origin.

Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. The gold is a lightly rose, warm colour.

Measures approx 28.7 mm / 1.15 inches not including the top jump ring, by 18.6 mm / 0.75 inches wide, by 4.15 mm / 0.16 inches deep.

Weighs 5.7 grams. This is much larger and heavier than we usually see in heart padlocks.
