Beautiful classic graduated five stone diamond ring. Five shining old European cut diamonds are bezel set in milgrain beaded settings. The diamonds are nicely graduated in size with the largest gemstone in the middle and the smallest on the outsides. This style of ring makes an easy to wear engagement ring or wedding ring. Circa late 1920s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 5, old European cut. The centre diamond is approx 3.6 mm and calculated in setting as 0.17 carats. On either side are approx 3.3 mm diamonds, estimated in setting as 0.24 carats together. The diamonds on the end are approx 2.2 mm and are estimated as 0.16 carats together. Approx 0.57 carats total, I / J colour, I1 / I2 clarity calculated as setting permits. These diamonds show some natural inclusions which are visible to the naked eye. They are bright diamonds with a lot of carat weight in this ring.

Fully hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, 1926.

Measures 4.2 mm wide, diamonds are set approx 16.4 mm across the finger and this ring sits 3.65 mm tall off the finger.
