Antique Georgian tassel earrings. Crafted in cut steel, these are the perfect evening wear dangle earrings. Silver wire hooks are adorned with a pair of leaf shaped faceted steel beads so they sit right at the base of the earlobe. Dropping further down are five twisted tassels which are topped with a steel cap. These tassels swing and their faceted beads catch lower light beautifully! The long length of these, skimming the jawline, is super flattering. Circa late 17th to early 18th century.

In good condition, the cut steel shows some wear, unsurprising for a pair of earrings around 200 years old.

Not marked - have been professionally tested and assessed. The tassels and top top section are pressed cut steel and the top section is backed in 9 carat gold. The ear wires are sterling silver.

Measure approx 73.2 mm / 2.9 inches in total length by 17.1 mm / 0.67 inches at widest point.

Weighs 13.4 grams total, approx 6.7 grams each.
