Antique sapphire and diamond ring dating to the early 20th century. A royal blue oval cut sapphire is bezel set into a platinum top. Framing the sapphire is a halo of eight cut diamonds, each bead set and lined in milgrain beading. The gemstone top sits on a narrow 18 carat yellow gold band which is topped with platinum on the shoulders. This ring dates to the early 20th century, 1900 - 1915, and is British in origin.
Sapphire: blue in colour, oval cut, some colour zoning can be seen under magnification. Measures approx 6 mm by 4.5 mm and is estimated in setting as 0.60 carats.
Diamonds: 12, eight cut / single cut, approx 0.06 carats total weight.
Marked 18ct PLAT. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - K 1/2; US - 5.6; EU - 16.2. This ring can be sized down to I.5 / 4.5 and up to Q.5 / 8.5. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 10.5 mm by 9.4 mm and stands 4.7 mm tall off the finger.
