These are brilliant garnet earrings from the Edwardian era. These earrings are set with deep pink almandine garnets at the top and bottom with a smaller old European cut diamond between the garnets. The gemstones are bezel or rub over set with the finest of miligrain beading to the inside edge of the setting. These earrings are articulated so move about as you do. Circa 1900-1915.

Garnets: 4 round cut almandine garnets, deep redish pink. All garnets measure approx 5.2 mm and are in open backed bezel settings.

Diamonds: 2, old European cuts, approx 2.7 mm each, and 0.14 carats total weight, H - J colour, I clarity. The diamonds are set in open backed bezel settings which are topped in white gold.

Not hallmarked, tested as 15 carat gold. The gold has a rosy hue. It's not rose gold but is much more pink or red than modern yellow gold.

Measure 3.1 cm / 1 3/16 inches long.

The pair weighs 2.75 grams.
