Antique Edwardian heart shaped locket. This large locket is design as an open fronted and back love heart. The top unscrews and the bevelled glass can be removed to store photos of your own. The gold retaining edge is curved so that the glass fits into it and is held in place. It came with two photographs of children inside which were removed for the pictures. We will include them by default. If you'd prefer for them not to be included please let us know. Circa 1900s, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter d for 1903. There are additional matching hallmarks for metal fineness (no date letter) on the removable bail of the heart and the jump ring for attaching it a chain. This makes us believe that these are all original to the piece.

Measures approx 3.3 cm / 1.30 inches long including bail but not jump ring by 2.25 cm / 0.88 inches wide.
