Vintage diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. This single stone diamond ring is set in eight white gold prongs. The collet flares and is slightly wider than the diamond which makes the diamond appear even larger on the finger. A simple shiny 18 carat yellow gold band comes to a point at the diamond and gets slightly wider at the sides before narrowing again at the back centre. This is an elegant ring in a lovely, classic style. It would be wonderfully suitable for an engagement ring. Circa 1970s, British in origin.

Diamond: round brilliant cut, measures approx 4.8 mm and calculated as 0.45 carats, J / K colour, SI1 clarity.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, hallmarks worn, we believe them to be for Birmingham 1977.
