Stunning old mine cut cobblestone style diamond ring. Nine diamonds are set closely together in a square shaped setting. The old mine cut diamonds date to the Victorian era and their hand cut nature gives them a wonderful cobblestone look. The diamonds have high crowns, small table, and large open culets, the true antique cuts we adore. The tapered shoulders slope sharply away and each is set with a single old cut diamond. This leads to a simple band keeping the focus on the diamond set top. Circa late 19th century, approx 1870 - 1890s, British in origin.
In good condition. Ring has been reshanked in white gold.
