Super chunk 9 carat gold double Albert chain. This antique 9 carat gold has the most wonderful link. At nearly 7.5 mm wide, it's gloriously luxurious feeling with a tightly linked curb style. A bright t-bar is connected with an oversized jump ring which moves freely along the chain. A pair of large dog clips secure this chain. The dog clips can be worn to the front, displaying a pendant, or to the back for a more simple look. At just under 16 inches this is also a great length to wear doubled as a bracelet. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.

This chain is hallow. Hence the weight for the width and length of it. Each of the curb links is curved forming a strong arc which is why Victorian jewellery is strong even when it's hallow. There is a small ding on the t-bar right above the carat stamp.

Stamped 9c on the dog clips, t-bar and every curb link. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout, which is closer to rose gold than yellow gold.
