Vintage baguette diamond ring dating to the mid 20th century. Five straight cut baguette diamonds are bar set in platinum across the top of the finger. They curve, following the shape of the finger. Baguette diamonds are step cut diamonds which provide a lower key sparkle, flashing as they catch the light rather than glittering like a disco ball. The diamonds are cover most of the top of the finger in half hoop style with a plain platinum shank at the back. Circa mid 20th century.
Diamonds: 5 straight cut baguettes. 4 are approx 3.5 mm by 1.9 mm, approx 0.10 carats each, one of the ends is slightly shorter at 3.35 mm by 1.9 mm, approx 0.09 carats. Total estimated as 0.49 carats, F / G colour, VS1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 10% IRID. Professionally tested and assessed as platinum. Gold solder was used when this ring can resized.
