Vintage sterling silver fancy link chain dating to the Art Deco era. This chunky trombone link chain is designed as a series of oblong links connected by a set of smaller round links. Trombone links are much coveted at the moment and it's easy to see why, the long link is elegant and the dog clip can fit into any of them making the perfect adjustable necklace or bracelet! Both ends of this chain terminate in a dog clip clasp and they have matching maker's marks. In the centre is a t-bar, also with a matching maker's mark, and a medallion. The medallion is circular in shape with a reeded design on the edge and a rose gold shield shaped cartouche in the centre. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.
In great condition. In the video and photo showing two chains this is the chain on the right, the other chain is available separately.
Marked for sterling throughout. The medallion has the date letters for 1929 and the t-bar for 1936 with matching maker's marks on both dog clips and the t-bar.
Measures approx 37 cm / 14.5 inches in wearable length. Long links are 22.5 mm / 0.90 inch long by 6 mm / 0.25 inches tall. This is choker length on me.
Weighs 37.4 grams.
