Exquisite sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. A stunning royal blue oval cut sapphire is bezel set in a halo of eight single cut diamonds. The sapphire is outlined in a single row of milgrain and the top edge of the floral design in double rows of milgrain. The sloped shoulders are studded with a single roughly cut diamond set in the midst of a intricate milgrain design. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: royal blue, oval cut, approx 5 mm by 3.7 mm and calculated as 0.38 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 10 total. 8 single cut of approx 1.5 mm each and 2 rough cut of approx 1 mm. Approx 0.12 carats calculated within the limits of the mounting, near colourless and eye clean.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
