Pretty Art Deco era sapphire and diamond marquise shape panel converted into a ring. An oval cut blue sapphire is bezel set long up the finger with eight old cut diamonds framing it. Beautiful pieced and beaded metal work completes the marquise or navette shape. This ring looks to have started it's life as another piece of jewellery. A delicate 18 carat gold band has been added to turn this sapphire and diamond piece into a very elegant and wearable ring. Circa 1930s, date of conversion unknown.

Diamonds: 8, roughly cut rose cut diamonds.

Not marked, tested as 18 carat gold.
