Cornflower blue sapphire and diamond engagement ring. A beautiful light cornflower blue round cut sapphire is set in the middle of a halo of four diamonds. The single cut diamonds alternate with engraved faceted sections, giving the impression of more diamonds. The setting is shaped into a leaf design. The leaves are designed with faceted beads giving them a bit of sparkle and leading to a plain yellow gold band. Circa 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: round cut, cornflower blue in colour, approx 3.6 mm.

Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.05 carats total weight.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
