Stunning ruby and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. A pinkish red lovely step cut square shaped ruby is set in the centre of a diamond frame. The gemstones are set into a platinum top and the ruby is outlined in a single row of milgrain beading. Twelve eight / single cut diamonds are pave set around the sides with the setting dipping between each of the diamonds creating a scalloped edged top. The shank is wider in back, tapering substantially as it near the gemstone set top. Circa 1920s, British in origin.

Ruby: pinkish red, square step cut, approx 4.5 mm, calculated in setting as 0.55 carats.

Diamonds: 12, eight cut, approx 0.25 carats total weight, G / H colour, SI clarity.

Marked 18ct PLAT. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - L 1/2; US - 6; EU - 16.5. This ring has been sized larger in the past and the band is slightly oval in shape. It can be sized down to G / 3.5 or up to N.5 / 7. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 8.77 mm square and rises 3.33 mm tall on the finger.

Weighs 2.35 grams.
