Amazing platinum and diamond cocktail ring! This ring is set with three diamonds to the centre in a marquise shape. Immediately flanking them are two pairs of straight cut diamonds in a slightly raised design. To the top and bottom of the centre three diamonds are additional diamonds set in triangle shapes pointing inward. Four smaller single cut diamonds, which are more recessed, fill in the space between the baguettes and the central design. On the shoulders are little pierced loops with a small diamond set immediately down the shank. The design is very geometric in look with strong lines forming marquise, triangles and rectangles, all set with glittering diamonds. This ring dates to the Art Deco era, circa 1930s, to early mid century, early 1940s, when cocktail rings were at the height of fashion.
In very good condition. Some slight thinning to the shank as expected with use and wear.
Diamonds: 15 total. A mix of 3 early brilliant cuts (the largest ones), 8 single cut, and 4 straight cut baguettes. Total carat weight, estimated within the limits of the setting is 0.60 carats, G to I colour, VS2 to SI2 clarity. The diamonds are eye clean, however they are reflecting the black camera lens at some angles.
