Impressive antique diamond cluster ring crafted in 18 carat gold. A single diamond is set in the centre in a flared square shape. Undulating negative space around this square draws the eye in. Framing this is the most impressive halo. I just adore unique shapes and this ring certainly has them! Each of the four sections of the halo is set with two larger diamonds between which a smaller diamond is set. These sections form a ring angle to the inside and a carefully scalloped edge to the exterior. The white top is accented with milgrain beading along every exterior edge and a slender yellow band tapers slightly toward the diamond set top. Circa mid 1910s - late 1920s, British in origin.
In very good condition.
Diamonds: 13, all round cuts varying between 1 mm and 2.5 mm and calculated as 0.30 carats, near colourless and eye clean clarity within the limits of the mounting.
Not marked, there are signs that were previously, so they've likely been lost to resizing. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold.
