Exquisite sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. A stunning bright blue oval cut sapphire is bezel set in a halo of single cut diamonds. The sapphire is outlined in a single row of milgrain and accented with a further beaded design. The edge of this ring dips between each of the diamonds creating a scalloped edge and giving it a floral appearance. The sloped shoulders are set with two further single cut diamonds on each side set in the midst of a intricate milgrain design. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: bright blue, oval cut, approx 6.6 mm by 4.6 mm and calculated as 0.60 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: single cut, 22 total of approx 1.25 mm to total 0.22 carats together, eye clean and near colourless as assessed within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat white gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top edge.
