Sweet antique Victorian sapphire and diamond five stone ring. A light blue oval shape sapphire is set within an engrave star burst design. Two little diamonds are set in diamond shape designs on either side. This ring curves gently, wider by the sapphire, and tapers to the shoulders which are engraved with a scroll style design. Inside the ring are full hallmarks for 1895.
Sapphire: 1, light blue, oval cut, approx 2.5 mm by 2 mm.
Diamonds: 4, single cut / eight cut, approx 0.02 carats total.
Fully hallmarked for 15 carat gold, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1895.
Size: UK - H; US - 4; EU - 14.8. The hallmarks on the back inside in the centre. This ring has previously been resized and the hallow form gem set head slightly dented on the inside. Because of this it cannot be resized again safely.
Measures approx 6.65 mm wide in front tapering to 2.5 mm wide at the back and stands 1.7 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 1.55 grams.
