Stunning and unique antique sapphire engagement ring dating to the early 20th century. A large deep blue oval cut sapphire is bezel / rub over set in platinum. The sapphire is an eye catching deep, velvety blue. The platinum bezel which holds the sapphire is lined in milgrain beading and framed by a delicate halo of diamonds. The 10 diamonds are set in a rectangular shaped design with softly curving side and sharp geometrically shaped corners. Milgrain lines each individual diamond and outlines the shape of the face of this ring. The shoulders slope softly away from the top and each is set with a diamond in an engraved, beaded design.

This ring is in excellent condition with the milgrain and engraved work all clear and crisp. Circa 1915 - 1930s, British in origin.
