Antique pinchbeck long guard chain. This chain is formed of a long trace style chain with four sets of fancy links. The fancy links is a little ball followed by a long twisted link, a small ball, a larger ball and then repeats. The four sets are fancy links aren't quite evenly spaced. Both ends of this chain are connected to a large dog clip. This chain can easily be worn as a long single chain, doubled or tripled around the neck. Circa mid 19th century.

Measures approx 145 cm / 57 inches long and 5.2 mm at widest point.
