Elegant antique sapphire and diamond engagement ring. A beautifully blue coloured sapphire is oval in shape. The sapphire is set in a milgrain lined bezel and framed by a halo of 10 sparkling diamonds. The diamonds are set close together with a scalloped outer edge dipping between the diamonds. A narrow shank is flat on the top and comes to a sharp point at the sapphire and diamond set top. Circa early 20th century, 1910s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: oval cut, blue in colour. Approx 5 mm by 4 mm and calculated as 0.58 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 10, single cut, approx 0.10 carats together.

Stamped 18ct & PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, which is yellow in colour, with the gemstones set into a platinum top. There is a maker's mark of B&K.

Size: UK - P; US - 7.75; EU - 18. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15,8 and S.5 / 9.5 / 19,25. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 10.35 mm by 8.75 mm on top by 3.55 mm deep at sapphire. 2.05 mm band at back centre.
