Beautiful opal single stone ring set in an 18 carat yellow gold crown style setting. An oval shaped cabochon cut opal is simply set in a delicate multiple claw setting. A narrow yellow gold band keeps the overall look very simple and the focus on the opal. The opal shows mostly reddy orange play of colour with some blue. Dates to the 1900s, European in origin.
